Two riders building the sunglasses we couldn’t find.
Sinter is a small, independent sport-eyewear company in Boulder, Colorado. We make modular sunglasses for cyclists, mountain bikers, and runners: frames, lenses, and parts you mix and match, at an honest price.

Why Sinter exists
We’re James and Ted. We ride, we race sometimes, and we got tired of paying for logos.
Good sport sunglasses cost $200 and up, and a lot of that price is the name on the arm. We wanted the performance without the markup and without the ego, from a brand that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Nobody was making that, so we are.
Built your way
Big eyewear brands sell you their look. We sell you the components and let you make your own.
Frames, lenses, and parts are sold on their own and lock together. Pick the frame that fits your face, the lens for the light you ride in, and the colors you like. Swap the lens when the season changes. When a part breaks, replace that part instead of the whole pair. No two builds have to look alike.
No tax for the logo
The features that matter, done properly, at a fair price.
Think of the best house-brand gear you own: it nails the basics, skips the fluff, and costs what it should. That’s the deal we’re after. We sell direct, so there’s no distributor markup, and we spend the money on the parts: clear optics, a fit that stays put on rough ground, and hardware that holds up.
Why the name
Sintering is a manufacturing process: heat and pressure fuse powdered material into a single, stronger part. It’s how we think about the product. Separate components that lock together into something better than the sum of the pieces.
Where we are now
The glasses launch in spring 2027. Merch comes first.
We’re working through manufacturing now. Until the glasses are ready, we’re putting our name on a first run of merch and sharing how the build is going.
